Since 1994 I have "driven" my T/R 3 over "110,000" miles with only 3 let
downs, in 1995 a water pump shaft failed as I pulled into the VTR convention
hotel in Albany NY (175 VTR members help fix it), in 1996 the
generator/regulator failed as pulled into the parking lot of TRF for there
summer party, in 1996 and the front u-joint blew on rt 95 in Jacksonville
Florida in 1997 with local VTR members quickly coming to my rescue (right
Walter Lanz), now I have to wonder how many Hondas/Toyotas have that kind of
record. a few years back Volvo had a commercial on T/V that 90 of 100 original
20 year old Volvos were still on the road, what they failed to say was the
$100,000 maintenance expense/upkeep made them that way, not really so with a
T/R, just a little more TLC and understanding by the owners and these cars can
be driven whenever and wherever you care to go, lot of "myth" in unreliable.
