I just contacted my friend from the Lindsay Wildlife Museum, near
Walnut Creek , CA, she is fondly referred to as the "Bat Lady"
(she helps raise orphan bats...). She tells me that to disturb a
hibernating bat is tantamount to a death sentence...please wait till
it warms up in the Spring and then remove him...BTW are you sure
there is only one?? She seems to think they like to "hang out" in
colonies...
