Listers,

I'm doing some work on my suspension and have run into some puzzlers.

My right rear wheel has developed some negative camber. To adjust it the tech
article in the Moss catalog says to recombine (add) shims to the swing arm
mount. Bentley says these shims are to adjust toe-in. It seems on the face of
it that Bentley makes more sense. Has anyone done this adjustment? The rear
springs seem only five or so years old. The drivers side is perfect.

The second issue is that the front of the car has always seemed a little too
high. The bottom of the front wheel well is 27 = inches from the
floor(within1/2 inch of the rear measurement). I can't find a reference
measurement in any of my literature. Does this sound right?

Thanks for any help, and thanks for all the helpful replies re: the Ford head
gasket. I think the way we'll go is to replace the head gasket flush the
engine thoroughly and hope everything is OK.
