Hi All,

Thanks to all the kind folk who helped me out on the last issue. Doh! I
forgot about the two tie rod ends having different threads.

Unfortunately, another problem has popped up (or boutb to be exact).
It looks as if the inner tie rod has lifted up from the fulcrum pin that is
connected to the idler arm!
It is still connected, but the pin is about half way out of the hole in the tie
rod. Herebs a photo. http://home.earthlink.net/~adrianjones747/
In the foreground is one of the new inner tie rod ends. In the background is
the infamous yellow fan. In between is the inner rod that has lifted itself
off the pin. (The other pin is still connected to the tie rod and steering
drop arm.)

Ibve no idea how that happened. The installation of the linkage went OK with
no problem (I joined the two outer tie rods to the inner on the bench and then
installed as one unit onto the car.) I had installed new fulcrum pins by
carefully pressing them in, using the vice and socket trick. They both went in
very smoothly. I did lubricate the pin with a light coating of oil as I thought
was going to be a real tight fit (I remember thinking bWow. This is too
easyb)

This has me worried.

What do you guys make of it?

Regards, Adrian TS58324
