Should be very possible - I Tivo "Classic Car Restoration" on the DIY
channel - they re-dyed the white seats and black dash of a '62 Corvette
on a recent episode.
The guy who did the demo also took an UGLY green vinyl and prepped,
primered and 'painted' it a nice beige color as a demonstration of how
much you can change the color.
