While it probably wont hurt since vibration isn't quite the problem on half
shafts that it is on drive shafts.  A half shaft spins at much less RPM,
at the most it sees is maybe 1500-1700 rpm vs. possibly 5000+ for a drive
shaft.  Even at cruising speed a half shaft is turning around 900-1100 RPM.
  If you want a "simpler" method you might try some good cable ties, but
the wire will certainly last much longer -
