I had to deal with this one. I bought the hood release cable for the 
Triumph Dolomite (the 70's one that is) and cut it into the required 
lengths. I even used the the pull handle and although this is not 
correct you cannot really see it when installed. The outer cover is 
the very same wound steel as the original.
