what I have just done this last week was buy a socket drive screw driver from
McMaster Carr. page 2612 item # 55045A21.
its a little bigger that the screw slot so i ground it down a little at a
time on my bench grinder till it fit real tight.
after 47 years the screws came out with no complaint or need of penetrating
oil.
