You must be talking about the early molded foam and plastic tood capping
style door pull and not the metal handle on the later models. I was a bit
confused for a minute. I would have to think they do since the inner waist
seal goes
over the top of the plastic in the channel.

Getting the clips on the outer waist seal is a bit tricky but not to bad if
you have the right tool. They must be installed with the window up (unless you
are close, personal friends with the Fantastic Four) and a hooked tool that
can slip down between the waist seal and the glass will make setting them in
place much easier. I made a tool from a piece of 1/16" band steel. I clamped
the last 1/8" in a vice and using a hammer formed a 90 deg bend in the end.
Others have used discarded PC expansion boead blanking plates (if you have ever
added a board to a PC you know what these are).

Roll the window down a bit and slide the tool into the window channel and
then slide it between the class and the outer edge of the gap with the bend
facing the outside and then roll the window up. Using one hand hold the seal
in
place and using the other hand position a clip. Using your third hand position
the tool over the clip and pull up to set the clip.

In case it isn't obvious the door upholstery panel must be removed for this
operation.

So make yourself a tool and grow a third arm and it's easy as pie.
