how to replace dash?

Hi,
I forgot how I removed the dash from my TR3, but, I am now ready to replace
it.  I see the notches and holes that it is mounted with.  Does it require
special nuts (I have no idea where I might have put them).  They proably
have several layers of paint on them.
Would anyone happen to know the thread size,
