My friend, excellant mechanic, owner of a TR3B& TR4 and helps me out when I
get in too deep is Doug Mathews, and is also on this list. Doug said I

I recently bought a mechanical temperature gauge for my TR3A for about $20
from Advance Auto (down the road).
Of course it's not original being that it's new and it does have flat glass.
But it is black and fits the hole perfectly and has the exact size sending
unit w/ cable. I also bought an amp gauge for about the same price. They
were the 'Retro' line made by Sunpro.
