I've had a VHS copy of this film for years and heave watched it dozens of
times. It was a topic of discussion last year on a racing history site I
participate on. After much discussion and digging, it was confirmed that the
car used in the film was a Mercedes 450 SEL 6.9 driven by Lelouche himself. The
soundtrack is probably a Ferrari but if you pay attention carefully, you'll
note the soundtrack doesn't really match the film. I was kind of bummed when I
found out, but it's still a great little film. I think every taxi driver in
Paris has seen it and thinks they're faster! I know the one I rode with early
one morning from the airport did!

Cheers,

Kurt Oblinger
