Hi,
I was looking through a Summit Racing Catalog last night and came across a
neat little brake part. It is a bleed screw that has a small, spring loaded
plunger in the end of it which is locked closed when you tighten down the
bleed screw. If you open it, and press on the brake pedal fluid and air can
escape as the little plunger is forced open from the bleed screw. When you
release the brake pedal the plunger returns to its closed position and no
air can enter the system. So, basically you are supposed to be able to bleed
your brakes and clutch by yourself. The best part is they come in several
threads both SAE and Metric AND they are 2 for ten bucks.
I haven't tried them so I can not attest to their function but it sounds
like they would be nice. Especially if you are alone and for some reason
need to bleed some hydraulic system. They didn't have a part number but were
called. "Earls Solo-Bleeds".
