Hmm, there are more than one I'd add mostly because I would wait for the
right car to come along. ( Priced right, clean enough to look good but not
"afraid to drive it concourse", overlooked but interesting cars with
personality are
a plus )
Stag (so I can go from just owning a handful of Brit car parts, Clean motor
swap car OK )
Austin 7 / American Bantam ( AKA Chummy / Ruby , Mini model T )
Lotus Elan +2 ( It has a nice shape and is vastly over looked as it is too
often compared to the SWB Elan )
Citroen DS ( Might go for a SM if I had the time to deal with the fussy
systems )
Citroen 2-CV ( Bauhaus school of design/thirties modern. The useful
minimum, Use the best materials possible but only enough to do the job, the
true
essence of engineering )
66 Cougar ( Great front end treatment and 1 2 3 turn signals. These were
based on the Mustang that everyone is falling over but again vastly overlooked )
73-74 VW 412 Stationwagon (The pinnacle of VW aircooled design, except for
the horrendous rust problem, I had one for a few years, great car ) pre 74 VW
Squareback second choice
There might be more but I think that sets the trend. ( well a Lotus
7/Caterham would not be turned away at the gate :+)
