FWIW -- if a fitting isn't really tight you can often fashion a make-do 
allen wrench from a bolt with the appropriate head... e.g. you might 
have taken a bolt with a 7/16" head (probably a quarter inch bolt), 
threaded on a couple of nuts (jammed together) and used the head of the 
bolt in the allen screw and turned it with a 7/16" wrench.
