Bob,

Congratulations! I have been considering this upgrade for quite a while and
the report of your experience is really good news!! Of course, I have to
keep in mind that 'My Mileage May Vary!!'

Thanks for keeping us all informed.

Well....today was the big day to actually drive my car now that it's been
converted to Throttle Body Injection (TBI). I'm glad to say that it was
totally uneventful, even though I did toss the fire extinguisher behind my
seat. It's amazing how well it starts in freezing cold weather. The choke is
no longer a choke but it is used as the high speed idle. So I just pull it
out a little and turn the key without touching the gas pedal. Starts right
up and settles in to a smooth idle. Ice cold and it runs like it's all
warmed up. Smooth power. Pulls strong in all gears. No stumbles,
hesitations, misses or backfires......just silky smooth. I stopped by the
garage that did my gas tank work because they wanted to see the car once it
was running. That old mechanic was totally blown away by the installation
and loved Rick's adapters and John's custom regulator.

The only downside to the drive (not quite 100 miles) was that I think I'm
now deaf! To do the installation I removed the passenger seat and all carpet
and padding on that side. In addition, the interior rear panel and the trunk
rear panel aren't installed either, so....the car was one loud reverberating
box from the front to the trunk. I'd like to get about 200 miles on the car
so I can do a data dump and send it to John Wilson (CustomEFIS) to see if he
wants to modify the ECM chip. Now it's time to clean it all up to make it
look "pretty".

Lots of updates to the web site too.

Bob
