Contemplating replacing the diff seal and front crank seal on my 71
TR6. Those seem to be the worst offenders. BUT -- I overhhauled the
engine completely 20,000 miles ago. All the seal surfaces on the iron
parts were okay. So my question is --
Why do our seals last such a short time?
And maybe the followup question - does anybody have brands and
numbers for seals from the major manufacturers like CR for these two
applications?
