Either would work, but the W56 has 'lower' gearing in 1st/2nd for
trucks, most people use the W58 as it's more common and fairly
similar to

Hermann also has an easy to read ratio comparison with Triumph/Toyota:

It doesn't specify which W-series tranny is used in each column, but 
then again you can't really tell from the outside of the transmission 
which one you've got, you have to count teeth or rotations.
