well, speaking for myself only. by the time they got to me here in Californ=
ia, if they were not frozen they would be spoiled.

I'm hoping some of you may remember Fearless Fostick, because I don't.=C2=
=A0 I do seem to recall he was some sort of villain.=C2=A0 If so, then it's=
appropriate to compare him to...Lucas.
Had wires hanging below my dash when I drove off at lunchtime.=C2=A0 Parked=
.=C2=A0 Pushed them up behind the dash so I wouldn't entangle my fingers wh=
en I shifted.=C2=A0 Mistake.=C2=A0 Drove away and got 50 feet when the elec=
tric fuel pump quit.=C2=A0 20 minutes to re-wire it to the coil and all wen=
t fine back to work and to home.
In my garage, I checked the fuel pump, good.=C2=A0 Pulled the dash and bega=
n troubleshooting.=C2=A0 Weird, then the headlights stopped working.=C2=A0 =
Read voltage and headlight switch showed power in, but nothing out. Connect=
ions were solid.=C2=A0 Jumpered the posts and headlights worked.=C2=A0 Head=
light switch was bad.=C2=A0 Yeesh!
Panel lights still didn't work.=C2=A0 Checked the fuse with an ohm meter.=
=C2=A0 Good.=C2=A0 But dash panel lights didn't work.=C2=A0 Tried resetting=
the fuse in its holder.=C2=A0 Nothing.=C2=A0 Changed the fuse anyway.=C2=
=A0 Now the dash panel lights worked fine.=C2=A0 Yeesh!=C2=A0 To be fair, t=
he fuse wasn't a Lucas.=C2=A0 But it was in a Lucas holder, so I'm going to=
blame them anyway.=C2=A0 Hey, they're easy prey.
Shipswright disease.=C2=A0 Had the panel out and switches accessible, had t=
o replace the headlight switch anyway, so took youse all advice, and source=
d some original used switches from my good friend Mike Bonaducci in Vermont=
, despite his state is upside down on the map.=C2=A0 His number, in case an=
yone needs used parts, is 802-439-5815.=C2=A0 NFI, but I do vouch for him.=

Installed the new used switches tonight.=C2=A0 For the first time in 13 yea=
rs, I have original bakelite knobs that go over the little spring loaded do=
o-hickies and the names on the knobs--no, I mean it!--actually match their =
function:=C2=A0 headlights instead of panel lights, for instance.=C2=A0 Hey=
, this is a daily driver that I'll never impress with at Concourse, but wil=
l amaze 12 year old boys on bicycles who yell happily at me every day.
Everything works like it should.=C2=A0=20
So why did they call him Fearless...Fostick?=C2=A0 And why is there a guy s=
elling frozen beaver tails on Craigslist in New Hampshire?
