Hi Tony,
I just wanted to say that today I re-adjusted my tachometer pointer by the 
method you mentioned below using the small white dot. It worked great and 
thanks! I had no idea that the rest pin would push in! Now my tach is 
reading 3,000 RPM at 60 MPH and that's close enough for me.
