 Did you test directly at the battery terminals?
It is possible to charge a dead battery in the wrong polarity.=C2=A0 If the=
 battery was complete dead and someone hooked up the charger with the polar=
ity reversed (ie: positive charger lead to the NEG battery terminal and vic=
e-versa) it will charge up in the wrong polarity.=C2=A0 I've seen it done.
Many of the smart chargers will not do this.=C2=A0 Many will not charge a d=
ead battery, but some will and the old style chargers don't care.
Connecting a battery to a car in the reverse polarity will cause all manner=
 of problems.=C2=A0 It is not recommended.
