The Italian Job 12/6/96
Last night I watched a fabulous movie from the '60's that I have to recommend
to anyone with an interest in British cars of the era.
"The Italian Job" stars Michael Caine, Noel Cowerd, and - unbelievably - Benny
Hill! It also stars a stunning Aston Martin DB5 convertible, a Lamborghini
Muira, two E-Type Jaguars, three Mini Coopers, and countless Fiats and Alfas.
The painful part is that all of the above end up being totally and utterly
destroyed! (ouch). But the scenes with the Minis racing through Turin (and
under Turin and over Turin) are priceless. The plot's pretty good too.
I recommend it to anybody. I got it from Classic Motorbooks in Wisconsin
(1-800-826-6600) for a song at $8.95.
