Most of the information maybe on my www page. (www.headgasket.com)

What you need to know is that you have to get any oily residu off any and
all surfaces.
Use your gasket dressing of choice. Many people have use silver spray paint
for over forty years.
Use many light coats and let tack-up real well. I have used five - six
coats in times past. I then lay the gasket on the deck and place the head.
I tighten the nuts on the studs to finger tight and don't torque until the
next day. Then only at 25% increments until done to manufacturers spec on
the studs... Problem is that some after-market studs have a better torque
rating than the threads in the block.....be carefull not to over-torque the
block.

Other sealers I have used with success....Yammabond (non-hardening variety)
gooey but tenacious and quite forgiving. hard to apply and harder to remove
(use laquer thinner). aviation gasket sealer in a can with a
rush. ---brush the deck, apply the gasket, then brush the gasket top and
apply the head.... messy. Copper spray...mixed succuess. Hylomar, mixed
success.

I make a product in limited quantities (GWG p/50) without any hardening
agents and very fine particles of titanium metal. the amount of the metal
is very high and is mixed with some strong binding agents.. The advantage
of this (have been testing and selling this stuff since Nov 1998) is that
you can coat your gasket today -let it "dry" and use it later...much later.
I.e. you can store it pre-coated for several months and it will still work.
Just cover it with saran wrap in a box and store it... Placing it in the
sun for a few mins or use a hair dryer will warm it up enough to become
rubbery to the touch and ready to apply. It is easy to spray. If you email
me direct I will tell you more.

Hope this helps.
