Actually, I didn't. But I didn't mention you have to cut a deal. I've
found that some racers go to the local guy, tell him they would like to rent
it several times a year to haul to the races, and then he often cuts a deal
to cut the mileage. After all, do you want one big buck rental or a whole
bunch of little buck rentals during the year? Especially if the guy slaps a
little ink on the side of the car for his shop?
Then too, these guys let you haul the trailer. Most say in the contracts
you can't haul your own, but when you work with the local guy, a lot of
rules change.
Kind of like racing.
Still, if you don't mind the cheapie tow vehicle, you can usually find a
cheap truck or van in the $1000 to $2000 that with some engine work and
tranny prep, can haul for years if that is all you are doing. And that
works out dirt cheap.
