Phil Cade's Maserati

Some of you may know that Phil Cade recently died and his Hemi-powered
Maserati was acquired by Bob Valpey. I just heard the VSCCA refused to
recognize this invaluable piece of American road-racing history in its
present form. Tell me it isn't true?
