The Half Day Run To Linden Hall 2021 (Rescheduled)

How about a nice trip to Linden Hall which is neither too distant nor too t=
axing upon our LBC=92s. The weather will be cooler, the drive not too long,=
there may even be some color change starting in the leaves. Maybe not as p=
retty as Dons=92 Fall Leaf Tour the week after, but it=92s something.
Gathering day will be Saturday, October 9. Let=92s all meet at the Alleghen=
y County Airport in West Mifflin at 10:00 am, drivers meeting shortly there=
after.
Bring your own coffee, a comfort station is available. I will be bringing d=
onuts for all of us.
This run, of about two hours, will traverse the backroads south and east of=
the city, no scuttle shake inducing rough roads are encountered but one ha=
s to be on the lookout for the ubiquitous deer and errant other critters.
Make sure your horn works as there are some narrow bridges and a tunnel or =
two.
You will like Linden Hall. It has both indoor and outdoor dining. It includ=
es a view of the golf course grounds and the old majestic mansion. They hav=
e a great menu and of course draft beer.
With the summer waning there are not many driving events left so check your=
oil, water and air in the =93tyres=94, grab your navigator and join us. No=
navigator? No problem!!
Just follow the car in front and hope they can follow the directions. We ha=
ve never lost a group yet but there have been some late arrivals for lunch =
with red faces.
Mid-run pit stop will be at the Speedway on Rt 51 in Perryopolis.
Interested folks who can=92t make the starting point are encouraged join us=
there when we start arriving at about 11:15..
The more the merrier!! We=92ll be making lunch at Linden Hall by about 12:3=
