Moss has the instructions posted on line, and yes, you are correct. They do indeed replace the damper with a simple pulley. The damping function is deleted with the Moss kit. The crank damper is ess

I replied to Stan off-list with a shorter message indicating exactly what Vance says. The key here - TR6 cranks are def. a weak spot as they are highly stressed owing to the over-square design and t

OK, question about the SC kit: So suppose you spend the $3500 for the SC kit, plus the $750 for the damper, how much would be a good ballpark figure to estimate for 'optimizing' the rest of the engin

I'm budgeting 6K to have a running but worn engine optimized for a SC and another $4k for the SC itself. No wonder some people opt to drop in a crate small block V8 !. A refurbed but non optimized en

While I can't deny the "Gee whiz" factor of having a supercharger, you can easily get your TR6 to 150 fully streetable, "daily driver" horsepower for less than half of what you are talking about her

It's pretty and all, but for the half the price of a SC kit, I could build my 2.5 strong at OEM specs, put GM throttle bodies on a DGV intake, and plumb in a 2.2 Mopar Tubo blowing through the TB's.

Joe--You could do all of the things that are required for a high rpm race engine, but I don't think it's necessary. An engine in decent condition will take a modest "boost", such as the one offered b

If you have a healthy stock engine with modest mileage, strapping on a SC may be a good option. When I looked into it, I decided (after reading about your car in Kastner) that the added complexity w
