Tried to grease the Ujoints last night but the tip of the grease gun can't get into the joint to attach to the zerk. Is there a trick? and this is with the body off. Cliff

Two choices: Get an extra-long zerk fitting; use only temporarily because it interferes with the joint's motion. OR, what I did, grind down two opposites sides of the grease gun nozzle to let it fit.

it's a lot easier if you have the "long" grease fittings intalled. If you have those and it won't reach, you have to take the flange bolts off to swivel the joint so that you can get the grease gun o

Cliff-Another option would be a needle tip attatchment for your grease gun. Available at most auto part stores and made just for this purpose. Berry Price Albany, Or

There is an even easier way to grease the u-joints. Your local parts store should carry an adapter that's about 4" long, looks like a slim tube with a tapered tip on it. It Threads onto your grease h

Cliff--Most new U-joints come with the long grease fittings. Even so, there are some that I couldn't get a grease gun on, until I backed the fitting nearly out of the 'joint. This gave me an extra 1/
