Also, the doors are different between SI and SII. So the side glass guides can't be interchanged because the mounting assemblies are different.

No, these are not the same and cannot be interchanged. Series I windshield differ from Series II. SI has a straight edge and SII has an angle towards the bottom.

Sounds like you still have air in the line. It can be very tough to get all the air out after a complete rebuild when all the lines have been drained.

27 6 60 is the date of the transmission casting. June 27th 1960. It would be a Series I. I'd need to measure a drive shaft to be sure, but I believe the OD shaft is 4" shorter in length... Anyone? F
