The freezing up of the A/C system was a problem from the start with the Brick. One of the tricks was not to turn up the compressor to full cooling, it seemed to delay the ice up. Pugs 756

You did not mention if you had replaced/sealed the hand-brake boot. Lots of heat can come up through there, as the boots wear out. Also, TT's new compound scoop would keep the temp down in the engine
