- I recall seeing a few of these around a loooong time ago, maybe in the early '50s. I seem to recollect that they had two cycle engines, but I'm not sure. They were never very popular in this country

- There were some recent postings in rec.autos (On USENET, for those of you without net.access) about Borgwards. The Isabella was a conventional, although refined, West German car exported to the state
