Indeed. I got it right at the corner Superamerica station. Had a label making a big deal about being "Detergent-FREE". It was straight 30w motor oil. Cost about he same as the regular stuff. phile@st

In the recent write up in Grassroots Motorsports Magazine on the TR-6 they highly reccomend Redline's manual trans/transaxle fluid as 'a transmission rebuild in a can'. Anyone else tried this stuff?

I don't know of any reason why it would make a difference. I beleive my Swedish auto has an overdrive 5th gear, and if it doesn't, I'm sure Mr. welty will correct me. ('82 900) Rob

I can't tell you that the Redline MTL is suitable for every tranny in every car ever made. The data point I have is my Swedish sedan, which calls for *either* engine oil (10W30 or 10W40) or gear oil

Ralph, I would have emailed this, but your address doesn't come through on this list. I have been told by someone I trust to use only 30w NON-detergent oil in Spridget gearboxes to save the syncros.
