- Actually," Datsun" was only known as such in foreign markets, AFAIK. The parent has always been Nissan. Why they ID'd the roadster engine as "Nissan" vice "Datsun" I don't know - my old PL521 truck,

- Hello Larry, Nissan was the Corporate name, and Datsun was the Car's Brand name. Kind of like what General Motors is to Chevrolet. Therefore you would buy GM parts for your Chevrolet, Pontiac, etc. T
