Save a lot for chrome - it's $$$$$, especially the early cars w/the chrome w/s frame. Glad to hear you rebuilt yours. I did that several years ago and it still doesn't leak. Mike

Any pointers on un-freezing the heater valve? I've got two valves that are solid and won't budge. I like the idea of saving $85! Leigh Brooks Seattle '67.5 2000 in limbo '68 1600 rat moving ahead!

I recently had my '67 w/s frame chromed: $250 and 8 weeks and they bitched about it not being brass "like the British ones". :p -- lonestar

let it soak in PB penetrating oil or Kroil, or keosene. soak it for at least a week. take your time on dissasembly. I did 2 out of 69 2L and screwed up the first one using too much force. I just took
