I've encountered a new problem with the roadster. It won't start. I crank it and it fires, stumbles, and dies. After that first try, it won't fire at all. I thought I'd flooded it, but since I've had

First thing is to insure that you have spark. Crank it and get to the 'no fire' state. Remove a spark plug wire, stick a screw driver up the boot, and hold it about 1/8" from bare metal. (If you are

I can't recall why I did this but I once left one of the spark plug wires off the cap and witnessed a spark jump out of the cap, down the outside of the distributor and to the engine block. This was

The Hall effect transistor that mkes the pertronix is nothing more than a very efficient magnetic switch. The fact that it generates such a spark is done by the fact that it creates the maximum rise

I'm not familiar with the Pertronix setup. Mine has a Delta (over 25 years and still going strong!) that uses the stock coil setup. It was call a 'dwell extender' or 'capacitor discharge'. Basically
