If you're running a Holley, check the float bowl gaskets. I had one blow out for some unexplained reason-- maybe vibration from a previous run had loosened the screws-- and there was gas everywhere.

FWIW: I agree, you, at least had fast access to a water hose to cool things down, we used a 10lb and 2 5lb bottles on the coach fire that was in the gen-set compartment in the rear of the coach. but
