I've ALWAYS had to hold one hand on the dash under the choke and pull with the other. So, either mine is sticky like yours, or "that's the it is." Blake

Sounds like the seals on your jets are sticky or sombody put 'O' rings in place of the cork seals. The cork seals are very hard to keep from leaking, so people substitute nitrile or viton 'O' rings.

I'll tell you what worked for me. I replaced the cork jet seals with the Moss "neoprene" in order to stop the ever present seepage at the jets. Not only did the jet assemblies remain dry after this

I'll hazard a guess that the choke inner cable has worn a little groove in the outer cable, such that when it's pulled with a load on it, it jams. If that is correct, then turning the outer cable 1/
