Helps Immensely! My plan from the beginning was to connect a meter to the sender while in the tank (from where it runs past the passenger seat) and check the resistance...when empty, when full, etc..

Well folks, I got the fuel guage to work. Don't anybody make the mistake I made. The PO had disconected that circuit and taped it down against the black taped loom with...you guessed it...BLACK TAPE!

A fuel tank sender is a variable resistor. The uneven spacing of lines on a guage is because the resistance output of the sender is not linear per quantity of fuel in the tank. CTP
