Where exactly is it clogged at? Is the pickup tube clogged, or the line that connects to the pickup/guage sending unit going to the fuel pump? It would be easier to replace the line if it is clogged,

To replace the shackle pins you first must remove the bolt and nut that holds the sides together, its the one in the middle. After removing this bolt, the sides should pop off of the pins. Be careful

A lot depends on if you're still running the original rear end gears in the truck. I believe that came with most 3:90 which is fairly steep for todays standard of driving. I have a fairly strong 327
