I assumed when my truck when in for paint that I could have my GMC fender emblems re-chromed on my 59 GMC. The shop painting my truck says that there is too much detail on these emblems to send them

I'd talk to a plating shop. I took the valve covers for my IH V-8 to three different shops. The first two said they were too far gone to chrome plate. The third shop said no problem, and now they loo

My shop tells me the way the letters are formed the fender emblems that when they polished them after plating the sharp edges and detail will disappear. /\ / \ _/ \_ / \ / \ I'm not sure if this will

It takes a serious specailty shop to do emblems and small parts; definitely not the same people that do bumpers and larger parts. There's only one shop in TN; it's in Nashville...maybe only a few doz
