Is there something special or critical in how the drive spindle is inserted for the distibutor? I'm using a longish bolt to insert it into the hole, kinda feeling my way intil it slips into the hole

The narrow side of the slot has to point at around the 1 to 2 o'clock position, with #1 piston at top dead center, IIRC. Others can correct me, as I don't keep my Bentley here at work. Brad -- DON JU

When you pull your dizzy, the clamp is bolted down to your "retainer". Remove the 7/16" bolt that holds it in, to be able to pull the timing gear unit. -- DON JULIO 1942 www.myspace.com/tequilabrad _
