You can put a Triumph 1200 in a late model Midget, The manifolds and Tranny bolt up the same. The manifolds on a MG 1200 are on the drivers side and on the passengers side on the Triumph engines. Car

New guy here. Owner of a '59 with a tired old 1098. I have been looking at pumping up a 1275. Will a 1500 fit in a Mk 1? I've never actually looked at a 1500 to see if I can put it in the engine bay

As far as I know you can't put a 1500 in a 1275 engined car. If you have a look at the engine bay of a 1500 car you will see that it is substantially different and wider in several places. If anyone

I don't think it will fit. They modified the RB Midgets to accept the triumph engine. The mods were basically bolt ons and a few stamped sheetmetal mods like a depression for the harmonic balancer in
