Anyone had to re-chrome their mirror stem? I see you can't get the little bugger off without taking the mirror out. This leaves the question...... This mirror is convex. Where do you get a replacemen

Can't answer ALL your question, as I didn't do it all. HOWEVER, my outer plastic pebble grained trim was warped, the mirror was discolored and unsilvered in spots. Found a little shop in an auto mini

You can't get the stem from the mirror out without removing the glass ... which is replaceable and you can get it from rick. He just needs to know if it is an early or late mirror. 2. drill out the r
