Yesterday I spent a few hours down in the garage looking at my front end. I'm planning on getting my front crossmember re-inforced, so I decided to check my ball joints to see if they need replacing

With the wheel on the ground, the lower ball (swivel) joint carries the full wheel load in tension. Jacking up the lower A-arm relieves this tension. You can just look at the lower ball joint while

You can use any alternator you like. Various Listers have used early Ford, internal-regulator ("one-wire") Ford, GM, what-have-you. I used an internal-regulator 55 amp Toyota alternator, see http://
