Occasionally one or more of the bolts that secure the lever shock to the chassis will work itself loose (on my car, anyway) and this will produce a similar clunk. It may just be as simple as tighteni

Are your rear shock mounting bolts loose? Once they get loose, driving the car can oval out the mounting holes and allow the shock body to move in relation to the frame. mjb.
