I believe healthy splines should be trapezoidal (eg like a triangle with narrow part on the top of each spline cut off so that is flat). I've read that a sharp tip on the spline is an indication of w

Correct AND if the splines are worn on the hub adaptor they are probably worn on the wheel hubs. If so, you need to replace them all or the old ones left will destroy the new ones. Been there, done t
