The mini engine won't fit in a spridget because the crank is longer. It has an extension on the back for the front wheel drive system. The intake and exhaust are on the same side as the spridget engi

That was my problem a few months ago, backfiring out the exhaust. Make sure the spark plug wires are going to the right plugs. Didn't work to well for me with the 1 and 2 wires mixed up. Just a thoug

I've got a 1275 in my sprite and a 850cc that goes in a mini wagon. The difference seems to be the front plate it doesn't have the mounting for the engine mounts that the spridget engine has, the oil
