- You don't need Patricks to ID an early 235. If it has an oil distributor valve it is low pressure. that is the 3 bolt cover behind exhaust spout with copper tube loop. From that casting date of late

- Trick question. The sidemount spare was introduced in 1953. According to ENGINEERING FEATURES for 1953 it went on the driver's side. I've also seen it on both sides on supposedly "original" trucks.

- Watch direction of rotation. follow directions on step down resistors for wiring multiple units. You need to get them right to arrive at 6-8 volts while heater is running for correct speed. Bob ADle
