I used an adhesive that I got at Lowes called Goop. It was held out as having superior adhesion and gap filling properties, so that's what I bought. I can attest to it's superior adhesion. I just hop

Helicoils. Go to your auto parts supplier. When making this repair pay attention and do it properly. This is a weak point in the TR6 rear suspension and if you have missed the recent posts on Triumph

If you are talking about the water return pipe, they do deteriorate and need to be replaced. Removing the carbs and manifolds is necessary to do it properly but it is fairly easy. David Lylis 69 TR6
