Jerry- the hub has two pieces bolted to it to form the pulley- six bolts. It was probably bolted together wrong at some time. I believe the drilled TDC hole should line up with the keyway in the hub.

Hole in the bellhousing is GREAT. Easy to do with a holesaw in the +4 bellhousing. I also have done it to my Ford 100E trike engine. Porsche 911 was this way. Also I agree with the Locktite. Probably
